As Pakistan’s ISI faces heat in Jammu and Kashmir because of constant elimination of key terrorists, the agency is reportedly shifted its focus on Punjab, Intelligence Bureau sources said here.
Intelligence reports, studied by The Daily Guardian, revealed that dubious elements in Punjab are constantly getting funds from Britain, Canada, and Germany through ISI. Pakistan and China are giving them logistic support, which include weapons and drugs. In Punjab, the ISI is sending arms and drugs from Pakistan through drones. Sources said the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI is funding as many as 55 Khalistani and Kashmiri extremist groups.
In the last two years, terror groups backed by ISI, have strengthened its operations in Punjab. Some major groups those are in regular connection with ISI are Khalistan Commando Force, Bhindranwale Commando Force of Khalistan, Khalistan Liberation Force, Sikh for Justice, and Khalistadan Liberation Army.
According to the report, a dossier is prepared by Indian security agencies that revealed Sikhs for Justice is now making Germany a big base after Canada-a country infamous for stronghold of Khalistan movement. There are nine major Khalistani members active in Germany, sources said.
Compared to last year, drone activity on the Indian border with Pakistan has doubled. While the activities of 109 drones were seen last year, i.e. in the year 2021, by September this year, this number had increased to 214. This year, the BSF shot down 11 drones infiltrating into Indian territories across the border adjacent to Punjab.
According to central security agencies, the Border Security Force (BSF) also found a tunnel on the border with Jammu, indicating a clear modus operandi of the Pakistani establishments who were planning to infiltrate terrorists into India on the Line of Control and the International Border adjacent to Pakistan.
The BSF has decided to strengthen its communication system to curb increasing drone activities and terrorist conspiracies on the Indo-Pak border. According to exclusive information received by The Daily Guardian, BSF is soon to work on a plan to induct around 2,000 modern communication devices into the force. The communication devices that have been decided to be included in the BSF include around 1374 VHF Mobile Transceivers, hundreds of digital HF mobile sets and satellite personal trackers.
According to top sources, the BSF is stationed along Indo-Pakistan and Indo-Bangladesh borders. There are many such areas on the border between these two countries where BSF wants to strengthen its communication system so that due to better communication system, the anti-national activities happening on the border can be controlled better.
