India’s missile frigate INS Sahyadri JOINS in maritime exercise

The Indian Navy’s guided missile frigate INS Sahyadri joined two frontline warships of France to conduct a two-day maritime partnership exercise in the Arabian Sea.
Indian Navy officials said on 12 March that the exercises on 11 and 12 March saw extensive exercises at sea, including cross-deck landings, boarding exercises, and seamanship development.
The French Navy deployed the Mistral-class amphibious assault ship FS Dixmude and the La Fayette-class frigate FS La Fayette in the exercise.”The smooth conduct of the exercise reaffirmed the high level of interoperability and cooperation between the two navies,” the Indian Navy said in a brief statement.
INS Sahyadri is equipped with state-of-the-art weapons and sensors, which enable her to detect and neutralize air, surface, and sub-surface threats. The ship is a part of the Indian Navy’s Eastern Fleet, based at Visakhapatnam.
