New Delhi: The share of active Covid-19 cases in the total number of infections has further shrunk to 3.57 per cent, lowest after 149 days, according to an official release on Monday.
India’s active cases on Monday stood at 3,52,586, as compared to 3,58,692 on 18 July. As many as 27,071 new Covid-19 infections were reported in the last 24 hours. With this India’s tally rose to 98,84,100, while the number of people who have recuperated from the disease surged to 93,88,159, pushing the national recovery rate to 94.98% on Monday. The Covid-19 caseload of the country remained below 4 lakh for the eighth consecutive day on Monday.
Delhi reported 1,376 new Covid-19 cases, including 2854 recoveries and 60 deaths in the last 24 hours. Total cases in the city so far is 6,08,830, 5,83,509 have recovered from the infection and 10,074 died. Active cases stand at 15,247.
Maharashtra reported 2,949 new Covid-19-19 cases, including 4,610 discharges, and 60 deaths in the last 24 hours. the total number of cases in the state so far is 18,83,365 with 17,61,615 total recoveries and 48,269 total deaths. Active cases stand at 72,383.
Tamil Nadu reported 1,141 new Covid-19 cases, including 1,203 discharges, and 14 deaths in the last 24 hours. The total number of positive cases in the state is 8,00,029 with 7,78,081 total discharges and 11,909 total death. Active cases stand at 10,039.
Karnataka reported 830 new Covid-19 cases, with 2,164 discharges, and 10 deaths in the last 24 hours.
Kerala reported 2,707 new cases and 4,481 recoveries today. The total numbers of active cases and recovered cases in the state are 57,640 and 6,11,600.
Andhra Pradesh reported 305 new Covid-19 cases, including two fatalities and 541 recoveries. Total number of coronavirus cases in the state so far is 8,75,836 with 8,64,049 total recoveries, and 7059 total deaths. Active cases in the state stand at 472.
Puducherry reported 21 new Covid-19 cases, 50 discharges and 1 fatality on Monday. Total positive cases in the Union Territory rose to 37,513, including 307 active cases, 36,586 recoveries and 620 deaths.
