Sridhar Ramaswamy has joined the ranks of Indian-origin leaders of global companies, alongside Satya Nadella (Microsoft) and Sundar Pichai (Google), among others. On Thursday, he was appointed as the chief executive officer of Snowflake, a US-based data cloud company, replacing Frank Slootman. Ramaswamy’s appointment took effect immediately. Prior to this role, Ramaswamy worked at Google for over 15 years, from April 2003 to October 2018. Sundar Pichai became CEO of Google in August 2015 and assumed the role in October of that year.
