Watch: IAF And Army Successfully Para-Drop World’s First Portable Hospital From 15,000 Feet

The Indian Air Force (IAF) and Indian Army have successfully completed a groundbreaking operation by precisely para-dropping the Aarogya Maitri Health Cube from approximately 15,000 feet. This operation is a part of Project BHISHM (Bharat Health Initiative for Sahyog Hita and Maitri), designed to provide essential medical support in remote locations.

According to a defence ministry statement, the operation aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of delivering critical supplies to areas affected by Humanitarian Aid and Disaster Relief (HADR). The IAF used the C-130J Super Hercules, an advanced tactical transport aircraft, to execute the precise airlift and para-drop of the health cube.

Watch:

The Indian Army’s Para Brigade, known for its precision and operational prowess, played a vital role in this mission. They employed advanced precision drop equipment to ensure the cube’s safe and accurate delivery. The defence ministry highlighted that this operation showcased the military’s ability to support HADR missions effectively, even in the most challenging and remote terrains.
