A voter turnout of 63% was recorded by 6:00 PM in the by-elections for four Punjab assembly seats on Wednesday, as reported by the Information and Public Relations Department of Punjab. Final figures are expected by Thursday morning after all polling parties return to collection centres and complete data entry.
Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Punjab, Sibin C, provided the following constituency-wise voter turnout by 6:00 PM:
- Gidderbaha (84): 81%
- Dera Baba Nanak (10): 63%
- Barnala (103): 54%
- Chabbewal (44): 53%
Sibin C expressed gratitude to voters for their active participation and for exercising their democratic rights. He commended the Deputy Commissioners-cum-District Election Officers and Returning Officers for their effective management and supervision during the electoral process.
Acknowledging the dedication of the Punjab Police, Central Armed Police Forces, polling officials, volunteers, and all individuals involved, he noted their role in ensuring a secure environment at polling stations and the smooth execution of electoral arrangements.

He also extended thanks to political parties and candidates for their cooperation during the election process, and recognized the constructive role played by media personnel, expressing appreciation for their support.
