Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday highlighted India’s rise as a global leader during the inaugural session of the first edition of the School of Ultimate Leadership (SOUL) Conclave held at Bharat Mandapam, Delhi. He hoped that SOUL would give rise to outstanding leaders who would spur development in diverse sectors.
Bhutan’s Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay also attended the ceremony. Modi termed the launch of SOUL a big step toward the vision of Viksit Bharat (Developed India) and emphasized the importance of making better citizens build the country.
“Today every Indian is working day and night for Viksit Bharat of the 21st century. In such a situation, even in the country of 140 million, we need best leadership in every sector, in every vertical, in every aspect of life and not just political leadership,” Modi said.
The two-day SOUL Leadership Conclave, taking place from February 21-22, will host leaders in politics, sports, arts, media, spirituality, business, and public policy. These experts will exchange life experiences and leadership lessons, facilitating collaboration and sharing of knowledge.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi says, “Today is the birthday of the King of Bhutan and we have inaugurated the first edition of the School of Ultimate Leadership (SOUL), it is a very good coincidence… I see a very bright future for an institution like SOUL, as such great leaders have laid its foundation… I have great expectations from the youth and I always look for ways to do something for them”
