Bihar Chief Minister and JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar convened with party members at his residence in Delhi on Sunday. The Janata Dal (United) is poised to join the BJP-led NDA government at the Center, and party members warmly welcomed Nitish Kumar ahead of the Union Council of Ministers’ swearing-in ceremony.

The Janata Dal-United secured 12 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar and holds significant importance as a member of the National Democratic Alliance.

“If the leaders of Bihar (Nitish Kumar, Chirag Paswan, Jitan Ram Manjhi) are playing the role of kingmaker, the people of Bihar also have some expectations from them…Special category status should be accorded to Bihar…A special package should be given to Bihar…Caste census should be conducted in the country,” Manoj Jha told ANI.
