Similar Incident in Gujarat

A similar tragedy struck earlier this month in April in Banaskantha district of Gujarat. A firecracker plant located close to Deesa town experienced a massive explosion, which caused a blaze and some portions of the building to collapse. Seven deaths occurred in that explosion, as per authorities.

Deesa Sub Divisional Magistrate Neha Panchal reported, “According to initial reports, an explosion at the factory, which is inside an industrial complex, caused a fire and collapse of sections of the building, trapping several people under the debris.”

More information about the Andhra Pradesh explosion is expected as the authorities carry on with their probe.
