Delhi Receives Sudden Rain After Reaching 53°C, Internet Questions ‘Artificial Rain Hai Kya?’

Following days of intense heatwave conditions in Delhi, with temperatures hitting a staggering 52.3 degrees Celsius, the capital witnessed a welcome respite with rainfall. The sudden change in weather brought relief to residents who had been enduring scorching temperatures. Netizens, taking to social media platforms like X, formerly Twitter, expressed their reactions to the unexpected rainfall, with some questioning if it was artificially induced.

The severe heatwave had gripped Delhi for several days, with maximum temperatures nearing 50 degrees Celsius and minimum temperatures around 30 degrees Celsius. The unrelenting heat prompted concerns among the populace.

According to the weather agency’s forecast, Delhi was expected to experience partly cloudy skies with the possibility of dust storms, thunderstorms, and light rain or drizzle in isolated areas. Heatwave conditions were anticipated to persist at a few locations on Thursday. The forecast for Friday included the likelihood of thunderstorms, dust storms, and light rain accompanied by gusty winds.

The weather pattern is expected to continue with generally cloudy skies and similar conditions in the coming days, along with strong surface winds occasionally reaching speeds of 35-45 kmph.
