Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday declared that there will be no dialogue with Pakistan until terrorism is completely eradicated, emphasising that the BJP must come to power in Jammu and Kashmir to ensure peace and stability. Addressing an election rally in Jammu, Shah took aim at the opposition and neighboring Pakistan, asserting that a BJP government is essential to “teach Pakistan a lesson”.
Shah criticised the Gandhi and Abdullah families, accusing them of conspiring to revoke reservations for deprived sections. “After the counting of votes on October 8, your so-called ‘Mohabbat Ki Dukan’ will be closed,” he said, mocking Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s popular slogan “Nafrat Ke Bazaar Mein, Mohabbat Ki Dukan.”
He accused the National Conference (NC), Congress, and PDP of enabling terrorism, promising that no stone-pelter or terrorist would be released under a BJP government. Shah also announced plans for a “white paper” to expose the involvement of political families in Jammu and Kashmir who, according to him, fraternized with terrorists. “The BJP will bring a white paper on terrorism to expose the three families—Congress, Abdullahs, and Muftis—and their links to the violence that has plagued the region.”
Addressing the youth of Jammu and Kashmir, whom he referred to as “lions,” Shah said that a BJP government is crucial for peace, development, and defeating terrorism.
He lauded J&K BJP president Ravinder Raina for his efforts to strengthen the party ahead of the second phase of elections on September 25.
This was Shah’s sixth rally in the Jammu region in the last two days, having held five other rallies in Mendhar, Surankote, Thanamandi, Rajouri, and Akhnoor.
Shah dismissed the NC and Congress’s call for talks with Pakistan and the resumption of cross-border trade, asserting, “There will be no talks with Pakistan until terrorism is wiped out. I will talk with the youth of J&K, not with Pakistan.”
The home minister also reassured voters the BJP would safeguard the reservation system for Paharis, Gujjars, Dalits, and other backward classes.
