Bengaluru Horror: Woman Gangraped, 4 Arrested

Four men Gangrapes a woman in Bengaluru, Karnataka. After the gangrape they robbed her as well. Three of the four accused have been arrested whereas the fourth one has been identified by the police.

Bengaluru Horror: Woman Gangraped, 4 Arrested

A woman was gang-raped and robbed by four men on a hotel’s terrace in Bengaluru’s Koramangala. She works at a catering service and was waiting at Jyothi Nivas College junction.

A woman in her thirties was gang-raped and also robbed by four men on the terrace of a hotel, in Bengaluru, Karnataka. They made obscene comments about her. Adding on to this the police said that the incident took place around midnight.

The woman was waiting when four men approached her and started to have a conversation with her. According to the police, the woman is 33 years old. The victim filed a complaint saying, the men befriended her and then took her to dinner in a hotel.

In her complaint, the victim alleged that after dinner, the men took sexual advances towards the woman and then went forward and raped and robbed her on the terrace of the hotel.

Adding to this information, the police said, the accused threatened her not to reveal the information to anyone. The victim approached the police early in the morning and filed the complaint as stated by the police.

On reaching the safety of her home the woman narrated the entire incident to her husband, police said.

An FIR was registered at the Koramangala Police Station.  Police officials confirmed that a detailed investigation is underway to gather further evidence.

According to the police, all the suspects are confined to different states and work in different hotels. The three of the accused are arrested successfully by the police whereas one remains unarrested.

“Based on the complaint, we have registered a case at Koramangala police station under Section 70 (gang rape) of the Bharatiya Navya Sanhita and arrested three accused. The fourth accused has also been identified, and efforts are underway to nab him,” Joint Commissioner (East) Ramesh Banoth told the news agency.
