On Sunday, the 813th Urs of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti, also known as Khwaja Garib Nawaz, was observed with great devotion at the Ajmer Sharif Dargah.
Rajnath Singh Sends Special Chadar To Ajmer Sharif Dargah
A special chadar was presented on behalf of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. The chadar was brought to the Dargah by former Vice President of the Dargah Committee, Munawwar Khan, who also read out a message from Rajnath Singh at the Buland Darwaza. The message conveyed best wishes to all the devotees participating in the Urs, highlighting the teachings of Khwaja Sahib, who emphasised living a life of harmony and mutual respect.
Rajnath Singh’s message reflected the values of peace, brotherhood, and coexistence that Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti propagated. The chadar was handed over to Munawwar Khan by the Defence Minister at his Delhi residence prior to the event.
Sachin Pilot Sends Velvet Chadar And Flowers At Ajmer Sharif Dargah
Additionally, a velvet chadar and flowers were presented at the Mazar Sharif on behalf of Sachin Pilot, All India Congress Committee General Secretary and former Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan. The chadar was brought by Abid Kagzi, President of the Congress Minority Department, who also read Pilot’s message at the Circuit House and Dargah. Pilot’s message wished for peace and harmony in the country and expressed gratitude for the teachings of Hazrat Khwaja Saheb. He urged everyone to pray for the well-being and prosperity of the nation.
Many Congress officials, workers, and leaders, including Vijay Jain, Naseem Akhtar Insaf, and others, were present to honour the occasion. The event celebrated the unity and rich Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb of India, emphasising Khwaja Saheb’s legacy of love, service, and brotherhood.
