India News Hosts Annual Political Forum, Lok Janshakti Party MP Chirag Paswan Discusses 2024 Lok Sabha Elections on Day Two.

On the stage, Chirag Paswan highlights the issues faced by people in Bihar. He says, ‘In Bihar, you can find Brahmins, Kurmis, Bhumihars—all castes, but you won’t find a Bihari.’ During this, he launches an attack on the Bihar government, stating that it indulges in caste-based politics, marginalizes the backward, and plays with emotions, dividing the country based on religion and caste.

He mentions discussions regarding the Lok Sabha elections, indicating that talks on seat distribution are underway, likely to be finalized by Makar Sankranti. Emphasizing the significance of Hajipur seat, Chirag Paswan expresses its personal importance, stating, ‘This seat holds significance as my father contested elections from here. As a son, I want to fulfill his unfinished dreams.’ He notes that even after 75 years of independence, Bihar lags behind other states in development. Despite prolonged periods in power, parties like Congress, RJD, and JDU have not prioritized Bihar’s progress.

Chirag Paswan comments on Nitish Kumar’s legislative statement, suggesting that his actions indicate mental health concerns, and recommends seeking treatment. Accusing CM Nitish, he claims that any alliance with Nitish Kumar will lead to defeat. He also questions the caste-based census in Bihar, stating that it brings no benefit to the common people and does not provide employment for the youth. Paswan asserts the rich history of Bihar and expresses concern that the birthplace of democracy is now under threat in the state.
