India scored 404 in day 2 of the 1st test of India vs Bangladesh at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury stadium in Chattagrom. While, Shreyas Iyer was dismissed for 86, R. Ashwin made 40 not out to take India ahead. On the first day of the opening test against Bangladesh, Cheteshwar Pujara and Shreyas Iyer hit half centuries which made India recover from 48-3 and reach 278-6. Pujara was bowled on 90 for the fourth wicket. The opposite team’s left arm spinner Taijul Islam took three wickets for 84 runs and offspinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz took 2-71 which hurdled India from establishing full control. India had resumed the innings against Bangladesh at 278 for 6 on Thursday.
Currently, in the second innings Bangladesh is batting against India. Yasir Ali bold by Umesh Yadav for four runs in 17 balls. Siraj made Shanto move for a golden duck. The Indian bowlers have started it well and they are hitting the right areas and making the batters look uncomfortable. This is going to be a tough challenge for the Bangladesh team’s batters to play against the Indian bowlers. The current score of Bangladesh is 97/5 in 32 overs.
KL Rahul will be the captain of the Indian team while Bangladesh will be headed by Shakib Al Hasan in the first test. India holds second position on the ICC Men’s test rankings while Bangladesh is placed on the 9th rank. The first test match between India and Bangladesh will be played from 14-18 Decemeber.
