In Ramnagari Ayodhya, the blend of faith, devotion, and belief is palpably evident. Devotees from across the country flock to Ayodhya to seek the blessings of Lord Shri Ram Lalla. A unique tradition has emerged where, after their darshan, devotees construct small, symbolic houses using bricks and stones found in the temple grounds. They pray to Lord Ram to bless them with a real home.
Believers hold that by building a symbolic house of a certain size, they will receive a dwelling of the same size in reality. This act of devotion is rooted in the faith that Lord Ram will fulfill their wishes for a permanent home.
Ayodhya priest Vishnu Das explained, “Devotees come from far and wide to offer their gifts and prayers to Lord Ram. In return, they pray for homes where they can live comfortably. The city is adorned with flowers and lights throughout the year, reflecting the Lord’s love for his devotees.”
The practice of constructing symbolic houses has been a longstanding tradition in Ayodhya. Seers report that many devotees return to express their gratitude, having received their own homes as promised.
Priest Sita Ram ji Maharaj noted, “Lord Ram is a savior who never disappoints his devotees. He fulfills their desires and the sacred place remains a key destination for thousands each month.”
Devotees building symbolic houses are hopeful. As one devotee, Vinita Sharma, shared, “With Lord Ram now residing in a grand palace, we trust he will provide us with homes of our own.”
Anjani Devi added, “Ayodhya offers solace and blessings. It’s through divine grace that one has the opportunity to visit this holy city.”
Devesh Sharma remarked, “Ayodhya is a place of rebirth, where Lord Ram shows mercy to all who come with genuine devotion.”
It is this profound faith in Lord Shri Ram that leads to the fulfillment of devotees’ dreams of owning a home.
