UPES collaborates with LBSF, Singapore

New Delhi: The UPES on Tuesday announced that it has entered into an academic collaboration with the London School of Business and Finance (LSBF), Singapore, to provide the best of business and management education to its engineering students. A multi-disciplinary and specialization focused university, UPES runs School of Engineering and School of Computer Sciences and has introduced a business diploma programme for the students of these schools. Talking about the collaboration, Dr Kamal Bansal, Dean, School of Engineering, UPES, said, “The current and the future organisational landscape is at the intersection of technology and business. It is only logical that companies are looking for business-savvy tech minds who can help them grow, innovate and be successful… The collaboration with LSBF is to prepare well-rounded engineering graduates and open up more avenues for them.”

AP Polycet 2020: application submission date extended

New Delhi: The State Board of Technical Education and Training, SBTET, in Andhra Pradesh has extended the last date of application submission for the Andhra Pradesh Polytechnic Common Entrance Test, AP Polycet 2020. As per the notification, the last date to apply is 21 July, 2020. The board is yet to release the exam dates for AP Polycet 2020, which was earlier scheduled to be held on 28 April. The state board, however, decided to postpone the exam due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak followed by the nationwide lockdown. The application submission date was also extended to 15 May, which was further extended to 15 June. Now the application deadline has been extended to 21 July.

Online assessment for Jamia final-year students

New Delhi: Keeping in mind the growing cases of Covid-19 in Delhi, Jamia Millia Islamia has decided against holding offline exams. The assessment of final year students will be done based on the internal assessments through assignments, dissertations or objective questions set by the respective departments. “The conduct of examination in the offline mode was found to be non-viable as the same may further compromise the well-being of students of the University who are from different states, since the likelihood of spike in the number of Covid-19,” the university said in a statement.

JNUEE, UGC NET and exam application date extended

New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has once again extended the last date to submit application forms for the Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Exam (JNUEE 2020), University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET 2020), Council of Scientific and Industrial Research UGC NET (CSIR UGC NET 2020), and All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET 2020), Indira Gandhi National Open University PhD and OPENMAT, (IGNOU OPENMAT 2020) and Indian Council of Agricultural Research All India Entrance Examination Admission (ICAR AIEEA 2020). The announcement of application extension of various exams conducted by NTA was made by Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ on Monday.
