Leaders of the Shiv Sena party, Sanjay Raut and Aaditya Thackeray, shared their predictions and concerns about the upcoming state elections in India and expressed confidence in I.N.D.I.A. alliance win. These elections, which will be held in five states, have garnered significant attention and are seen as a precursor to the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.

Sanjay Raut, a prominent figure within the Shiv Sena, expressed his confidence in the I.N.D.I.A. alliance’s ability to secure victories in all five states. Raut stated, “Five states will go to polls. Among them, in three, Congress had won five years back. This time in all the states, the I.N.D.I.A. alliance will win, whether in Madhya Pradesh or Rajasthan. Telangana is a bonus. In Telangana as well, Congress will win. Bharatiya Janata Party will not win even 10 seats in Telangana.”

These statements were made during a press conference held on Monday.dditionally, Sanjay Raut raised concerns about the delay in scheduling the Mumbai Mahanagar Palika elections in Maharashtra, which have been pending for two years. He criticized the Election Commission for stalling elections in Mumbai and 14 other Mahanagar Palikas in Maharashtra, alleging corrupt practices involving the Administrator. Raut demanded clarity on when these elections would finally take place.

On the international front, Raut touched upon the Israel-Hamas conflict and emphasized the importance of India’s historical policy towards Palestine. He stated, “This is an international matter. Our country has followed a policy on Palestine. We had given recognition to Palestine. Yasser Arafat and Indira Gandhi shared a good relationship. We always shared this relationship with Palestine. This is history that we should not forget.”

Regarding Devendra Fadnavis’ visit to Delhi, Raut speculated that the move might be driven by the belief within the Shinde group that Fadnavis has acquired the capacity to handle significant national responsibilities. Raut questioned whether this shift of focus was prompted by perceived shortcomings in the handling of pressing issues, such as the Israel-Palestine conflict, Manipur violence, and the situation of Kashmiri pandits.

Meanwhile, Aaditya Thackeray, leader of the Shiv Sena, expressed confidence in the I.N.D.I.A. alliance’s appeal to voters in the upcoming state elections. Thackeray emphasized the importance of peace, prosperity, and progress, and how these elements would be key factors in the electoral choices made by the people of the five states where assembly polls are scheduled.

The I.N.D.I.A. alliance, comprising opposition parties, is gearing up to challenge the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The assembly polls in Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana, and Mizoram are set to take place from November 7 to 30, with results to be announced on December 3.
