On Wednesday, Miyapur Police nabbed a member of the chaddi gang who was engaged in four cases of stealing at Miyapur and Ameenpur Police Stations.
“On 23.08.2023 credible information police Miyapur apprehended one Cheddi Gang offender at Lingampally railway station, who was involved in 4 cases in the limits of Miyapur and Ameenpur Police Station,” said G Sandeep, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Madhapur.
The arrested suspect was from Aambli Khajuriya Village in Gujarat. Minama Mukeshbhai Bharubhai, Vikrambhai Dariyabhai Parmar (absent), Mohaniya Nitinbhai (absent), and Surmal are the names of the other accused members of the group.
Vikram, who worked as a plumber in Hyderabad, advised Mukesh, Nitin, and Sumral that they commit crimes in Hyderabad. Vikram had spotted other good houses where they could obtain further riches.
“As per their plan on August 5, they reached Hyderabad, Lingampally railway station. Vikram showed the houses to commit offences in the Ameenpur area and during the evening hours they sheltered in the Ameenpur jungle area adjacent to the house which they targeted,” said the DCP.
The gang used to dress up in underwear and vests, with handkerchiefs concealing their faces. To avoid hooks or fencing, they retained their footwear in their hands and tied their shirts and pants to the waist.
They used to hide in bushes till the early morning hours after performing the crimes to escape unwanted attention from the public and police.
The arrested defendant is being brought before the Hon’ble Court.
