HYBE has confirmed that all of the members of the popular band BTS will enlist in the military. The music label stated in a  that Jin will start his process as soon as the end of October. Others will participate as and when they are requested.

The members of BTS are presently pushing forward with plans to complete their military service, BIGHIT MUSIC  announced on Monday . The members of BTS are honoured to serve after the incredible concert to promote Busan’s bid for the World Expo 2030 and as each one starts their own independent careers.

BTS was founded more than 10 years ago. Since then, the group has achieved widespread success, broken records, and elevated K-Pop to new heights. BigHit Music has concentrated on the turning point, which is now, when it is feasible to respect the requirements of the nation and allow these healthy young men to serve alongside their fellow citizens. Jin, a member of the group, will start the procedure as soon as the end of October, when his solo release plan is completed. He will next adhere to the Korean government’s recruitment process. Other group members intend to complete their military duty in accordance with their own personal arrangements.

Following their military obligation, the members of BTS are looking forward to getting back together as a group in 2025. The group’s first anthology album, which was released earlier this year, paved the way for the members to take a break and work on their own projects.

The topic of BTS members serving in the military has always been controversial. A majority of South Koreans, not just the group’s ardent supporters known as the Army, according to certain polls, believe the members should be exempted from military service or given an alternative.

Exemptions from military service, however, are debatable in a nation where issues of privilege and injustice are quite sensitive. To protect against North Korea, all male inhabitants between the ages of 18 and 28 are required to serve for around two years. The eldest member of BTS, Kim Seok-jin, must enrol in the military when he turns 30 on December 4, and Min Yoon-ki, the second-oldest member, must do the same under a revised law in 2024.
