The Tragic Events Leading to Atul Subhash’s Death
Atul Subhash’s suicide on December 10 shocked his family and the nation. In a chilling 90-minute video and a 24-page suicide note, Subhash accused his wife, Nikita Singhania, and her family of harassment, leading to his tragic decision. His brother, Bikas Kumar, filed a complaint with the Bengaluru police, which led to an FIR being filed against four individuals.
The case took a dramatic turn when Subhash’s in-laws reportedly fled their home in Uttar Pradesh’s Jaunpur. Nikita Singhania was arrested in Gurugram, while her mother, Nisha Singhania, and brother, Anurag Singhania, were apprehended in Prayagraj. They were charged with abetting Subhash’s suicide and were brought to Bengaluru for judicial proceedings.
A local court granted them 14 days of judicial custody, while Nikita’s uncle, Sushil Singhania, who was also named in the FIR, was granted anticipatory bail by the Allahabad High Court.
