Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India in on a launching spree and the focus clearly is motorbikes. In the last fortnight alone, the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer has launched not one, not two but three new motorcycles across different segments. These include the SP160, 2023 CD110 Dream Deluxe and the 2023 Livo. Let’s tell you about all these bikes one by one.
Honda SP160
According to Honda, the SP160 has been designed to deliver power with great performance suitable for daily commuting. The bike gets an aerodynamic under cowl along with LED headlamp andtail lamp and a sporty muffler with a chrome covering. It comes with a 130 mm wide rear tyre which promises improved traction during acceleration. Ground clearance is at 177mm with a seat that is longer than before. Wheelbase stands at 1,347mm.The bike also comes Engine Stop Switch and a hazard switches well.
There’s an advanced digital meter which has features like Clock, Service due indicator, Gear position indicator, side stand indicator, Fuel gauge and other mileage related information such as average fuel mileage, fuel consumption and average speed.The bike runs on a 160cc which according to the brand is designed with a long stroke that provides extra torque and superior efficiency.
For braking there is single channel ABS with Front & Rear petal disc brakes. The Rear Mono Shock suspension is housed below the seat and mounted on the flexible diamond frame. The bike is priced at Rs. 1.17 lakh for single disc and Rs. 1.21 lakh, ex-showroom for dual disc variants.
Honda CD110 Dream Deluxe
According to Honda the next generation of its most affordable motorcycle in India, gets enhancements in technology, comfort features, and styling. Talking about the last bit you get new graphics on tank and side cover, attractive visor & front fender along with muffler cover and five spoke silver alloy wheels.
The CD110 Dream Deluxe features a DC headlamp and a two-way Engine Start/Stop Switch can be used to start the engine when pressed downwards and acts as an engine stop switch when pressed upward. You also get a Combi-Brake System and a seal chain which requires less frequent adjustments and low maintenance.
The CD110 Dream Deluxe will be available in four colours – Black with Red, Black with Blue, Black with Green and Black with Grey with the starting price of Rs 73,400, ex-showroom. Honda is also offering a special 10-year warranty package (3 years standard + 7 years optional extended warranty) on the motorcycle.
Honda Livo
The updated 2023 model of the Livo gets a new front-visor, meter and graphics. It also gets an Integrated Engine Start/Stop switch, DC headlamp, a seat that is 657 mm long and 5-step adjustable rear suspension.Then there is the Combi-Brake System, seal chain and Service due indicator.
The fuel pump is positioned outside on the lower part of fuel tank allowing easier access for maintenance or repair while the bike now also gets tubeless tyres. In all there are three colour options – Athletic Blue Metallic, Matte Crust Metallic and Black. The bike is priced at Rs. 78,500 for drum brake version while the Disc brake model is priced at Rs. 82,500, ex-showroom.
