Himachal CM meets Punjab counterpart Bhagwant Mann in Amritsar

Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, the chief minister of Himachal Pradesh, met Bhagwant Mann, the chief minister of Punjab, on Tuesday in Amritsar. Key issues pertaining to the states of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh were discussed by both leaders. The main developmental issues facing both states were also discussed at the meeting. Other party leaders from both sides attended the meeting.

Earlier on Monday, Himachal CM attended the famous Attari-Wagah Border beating retreat ceremony with his Punjab counterpart and Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena.
“The Indian Army and paramilitary forces have kept the integrity and sovereignty of the country intact by sacrificing their lives when the Nation needed them the most to safeguard the country,” said Himachal CM.

In between thunderous applause from the crowd gathered to witness the ceremony, Sukhu gave out sweets to the Jawans who took part in it. He also praised the Jawans for their dedication, bravery, and impressive performance. On this occasion, the Chief Minister was welcomed and given a sapling by Dr. Atul Fulzale, the IG of the Jalandhar range BSF and an officer from the Himachal IPS cadre.
