Raghuraj Pratap Singh, commonly known as Raja Bhaiya, a political figure long significant in Uttar Pradesh’s political scene, has found himself at the centre of a personal and familial controversy that threatens to spill over into his public life.
Sources close to the family indicate that Raja Bhaiya’s wife, Rani Bhanvi Devi, had grown increasingly dissatisfied with their relationship. Consequently, she initiated a public campaign against her husband. In response, Raja Bhaiya filed for divorce, a decision that has since garnered much speculation across political and social circles.
Adding another layer to the ongoing dispute, Rani Bhanvi Devi also filed a lawsuit against Akshay Pratap Gopal Ji, a prominent member of the legislative council (MLC) and an influential associate of Raja Bhaiya. She accuses him of financial misconduct, a claim that has yet to be verified.
Gopal Ji broke his silence today, shedding light on a family feud that has allegedly been simmering for seven years. He disclosed that Raja Bhaiya and his wife have been living separately for several years but kept it under wraps to maintain social decorum. Gopal Ji went on to describe Rani Bhanvi Devi as mentally unstable, pointing to a purported history of mental health issues within her family.
Furthermore, Gopal Ji dismissed accusations from Rani Bhanvi Devi regarding an illicit relationship between Raja Bhaiya and her sister as baseless. He stated that their children, now adults, should be free to make their own decisions, implying that the family disputes should have no bearing on Raja Bhaiya’s public image or political career.
Raja Bhaiya has refrained from public comment, perhaps, Gopal Ji suggested, to protect their children from public scrutiny until they were old enough to understand the complexity of the situation. Gopal Ji assured that the legal battle would be fought in court while maintaining a sense of dignity, unlike the public campaign led by Rani Bhanvi Devi.
As the case progresses, it remains to be seen how these personal matters will affect Raja Bhaiya’s political standing. Nonetheless, Gopal Ji remains confident that the politician’s image will emerge unscathed, noting that those who respect and love Raja Bhaiya will continue to do so.
