A drone launched from Lebanon aimed at Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s home in the northern coastal town of Caesarea on Saturday, according to his spokesperson. Fortunately, Netanyahu was not present at the time of the attack, and there were no reported casualties.

The Israeli military confirmed that a drone had crossed into Israeli airspace and struck a building, although the specific structure has not been identified. Additionally, two other drones that entered Israeli territory were intercepted without incident.

Witnesses in Caesarea reported hearing explosions, but both the Israeli ambulance service and police confirmed no injuries. The attack has not yet been claimed by Hezbollah, the Iranian-backed group that has been engaged in hostilities with Israel since October, nor by any other militant organization.

Reports from Saudi outlet Al-Hadath suggested that part of Netanyahu’s residence may have sustained damage in the attack, which occurred just two days after Israeli forces killed Hamas chief Yahya Sinwar in Gaza. Social media posts speculated about the nature of the building hit, but there remains uncertainty regarding the details of the incident.
