In a heart-stopping rescue operation, a cat trapped between the grills of a 20-storey building in Chennai was successfully saved after a daunting 12-hour ordeal.
The dramatic rescue, captured on video and shared by Blue Cross of India, showcased the heroic efforts of their team in North Madras.
“Our team saved a cat stuck in a 20-storey building’s grills in North Madras! The cat was trapped for 12+ hours, but our experts rappelled down to rescue it! The daring operation was a success & the cat’s safe back in its territory,” the NGO wrote in their Instagram post.
Residents of the apartment complex alerted authorities upon spotting the distressed feline. The fire department and Blue Cross of India swiftly responded, with the NGO’s team navigating through the building’s terrace to access the precarious site.
“The grills posed a challenging, confined space, but our team utilized safety ropes to reach the cat and bring it to safety,” stated Blue Cross of India in their update.
