With parliamentary and assembly polls to be held next year, all parties are on their toes in preparations for the same in a bid to strengthen their position in Haryana. The main ruling BJP along with its ally Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) in power are leaving no stone unturned to form the government in the state for the third consecutive time.
Likewise, the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD which has been at the helm of the power has failed to bring its exile from the power for the last twenty years. At the same time, these days, those political faces from political families who are currently away from power continue to remain in discussions. Meanwhile, political experts and Cabinet Minister Ranjit Singh believe that the National parties BJP and Congress are believed to be eyeball to eyeball in the forthcoming assembly as well as parliamentary polls.
The former Union Minister Chaudhary Birender Singh who had quit the Congress ahead of parliamentary polls held in 2019 and joined BJP seems to be in a state of dilemma in the party.
In this context, he has announced a rally to be held in Jind on 2nd October without inviting any leaders from the BJP. Ahead of the rally, Claiming that the rally would be a huge success and urging his supporters to attend the event without any political party’s flag, he said that it would bring a dynamic change in the politics of the state. Through the conduct of the rally, Birender Singh is believed to showcase his hold in Uchana and adjoining seats and strengthen the position of his son who is an MP from Hisar parliament seat.
In continuation to aforesaid, it is pertinent to mention that despite the invitation, the Congress leaders refrained from attending INLD’s rally held in Jind in September and Hooda is being considered behind Congress not attending INLD’s rally. In a reaction to the question pertaining to this Cabinet Minister Ranjit Singh Chautala said he said that Hooda is a bigwig in the party having unilateral dominance over other leaders in the state Congress and in case he is forced to quit his party, he he will win at least 20 seats forming a new party. Besides, Hooda has been at loggerheads with the other party leaders namely Randeep Surjewala, Kumari Saleja, and Kiran Chaudhary (SRK).
In continuation to the aforementioned, INLD MLA Abhay Singh Chautala is also on his toes to ensure the survival of the party under any circumstances stating that the party will form the government. On the other hand, after Congress did not attend his rally, he said that it is necessary for regional parties to remain in the interest of the state. Be it BJP or Congress, both want to eliminate regional parties but only regional parties can work for the betterment of the people from all sections. JJP leaders are continuously trying to establish their foothold in Rajasthan and in this regard, a rally was organized there on 25th September and now the party is preparing to take out road shows on many seats. The party continuously claims that it will contest elections on 25 to 30 seats having influence on these seats. In this series, political experts believe that the contest in Haryana is mainly between the BJP and the main opposition party Congress. JJP, INLD, and Aam Aadmi Party (JJP) are also trying continuously but all of these parties do not seem in a strong position.
