Amid this, it also came to light that Rajesh Kumar, an Assistant Sub-inspector deployed at Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) searched out at least 600 missing people across the state as well as from foreign.
Regarding this, PK Agarwal, DGP Haryana said that such humanitarian stories impact many lives. Further, he said that, Better India has recently featured ASI Rajesh Kumar’s story of reuniting people in its latest ‘Book of Hope’
ASI Rajesh has so far reunited more than 600 missing people including women, children and elderly from more than 20 states and three countries across the world.
Thus, a police personnel like Rajesh has set an example of proactive policing by going beyond their duty on the lines of serving people.
What could be more hopeful than getting a missing family member back after years or months of time? His stories will surely motivate and raise hope amongst the readers of this ‘Book of Hope’. Many notable personalities and publications including international media like The Guardian, The Gulf News, ASIA, various Indian news channels and individuals have recognised the commendable efforts of Rajesh.
“India needs such compassionate & brave policemen. I just spoke to ASI Rajesh Kumar who is leaving no stone unturned in reuniting missing children. I told him-Being the son of a police constable myself, such acts by cops make me immensely proud!”, tweeted Kailash Satyarthi, Nobel Peace laureate, last year.
Rajesh Kumar said that it is his duty and the same gives him satisfaction and immense pleasure. He will continue to perform his duty with full responsibility.
Similarly, a lady policewoman deployed in Delhi police had searched out a many people and in wake of her performance and dedication for work, the Delhi police had promoted her. Likewise Delhi government’s decision, a demand pertaining to the promotion of Rakesh Kumar continue to rise and it is believed that the state Police department may promote him soon.
