In Haryana, the state government has received massive change for the upcoming session for the class 1st to 3rd as per the national education policy-2020. New curriculum will include revised areas of learning, teaching along with several other aspects in a bid to provide high education quality early childhood care. It is pertinent to mention that prior to this, the department has received change in curriculum in 2004 and thus in this regard, changes are being made now after almost two decades. Its objective is to move away from traditional education and make it as practical as possible so that students benefit from it from the initial stage. There will be many changes in the new syllabus and work has already started regarding the changes in the syllabus. It is worth stating that changes are being made in the syllabus under the new education policy to make students free from the habit of rote learning and an outline of developed skills and learning outcomes has been prepared. The National Framework covers all that will guide teaching and learning at the foundational level. Besides, the work on designing the new syllabus has started and after its finalization the further process will start. Further, the Information received from the Education Department revealed that now the focus will be on ensuring that children do not follow the pattern of rote learning . In the last few years, there has been a change in the methods of imparting education but most of the time the traditional pattern is followed and the results are not that fruitful. Apart from this, the new syllabus will add sports activities along with focusing on sports in order to all-round development of the students. Additionally, significant changes are expected in the teaching and learning equipment used during studies. These alterations aim to eliminate the traditional system. Furthermore, adjustments to the classroom layout are also anticipated. Pertaining to this, Kanwar Pal Gujjar, Education Minister said that work is underway to change the curriculum from classes 1 to 3 for the forthcoming session. In such a situation, from the new session the schools will run classes under the guidelines of the new education policy.
