The Haryana Gurdwara Election Commissioner has withdrawn the schedule for the elections of the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee. The schedule was released just a day earlier, on Thursday. It was announced in the schedule that the elections would be held on March 6, but due to the CBSE and Haryana Board exams, the Haryana Gurdwara Election Commissioner has withdrawn it.
It should be noted that on March 6, the day of the elections, the dates of the annual examinations of the CBSE and Haryana School Education Board were overlapping. In this regard, the Director of Secondary Education of the Haryana School Education Department had written a letter to the Election Commissioner Justice HS Bhalla. In the letter, he requested to withdraw the schedule of the elections of the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee.
Justice Bhalla said that accepting the Director’s request, the schedule of the elections of the Haryana Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee has been withdrawn in the interest of the students. The election schedule will be reissued later.
