In Haryana, the Rohtak Police have tightened the noose on the gangster Rajkumar, also known as Shyamu, associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi Group. Shyamu has been arrested under the National Security Act (NSA). Rajkumar, who is close to Lawrence Syndicate member Vicky Boxer, has been involved in the world of crime for 13 years. After being released from jail, he started recruiting new boys into the world of crime. The police prepared Rajkumar’s case and sent it to the District Magistrate, leading to action being taken against him. This is the first case of the arrest of a gangster under NSA in Haryana. Previously, action under NSA had been taken only against terrorists.
According to Rohtak SP Himanshu Garg, Rajkumar alias Shyamu, associated with crime and many other gangsters for a long time, was engaged in recruiting new boys into the gang. By luring the youth, he was making them commit crimes regularly, prompting the authorities to take action against him. On March 8, about 20-25 boys came to Ashish’s house, raised their voices, and, as soon as Ashish came out of his house, opened indiscriminate fire at the gate. Ashish defended himself and ran inside, after which the youth fled from the spot, abusing and threatening to kill. The police recovered 25 shells/cartridges from the scene. Rajkumar alias Shyamu was arrested on April 11, but he was granted bail on September 1.
