Haryana Director General of Police Shatrujeet Kapur attended the closing ceremony of the 72nd All India Police Wrestling Competition 2023 in Madhuban, Karnal as the Chief Guest. He said that the sporting event not only showcased extraordinary sporting talent but also created a bond of camaraderie and fellowship among police personnel across the country. It has also provided a platform to promote social harmony. He said that through such sports events, a sense of community and mutual respect is built that transcends geographical boundaries. Speaking on the occasion, the Director General of Police said that the police force has the important responsibility of ensuring the safety of citizens, including maintaining law and order and discharging the duties with justice and honesty. Amidst all these responsibilities, it is also important to pay attention to the well-being and physical fitness of all policemen. He said that wrestling is not just a sport but it is a testament to the resilience, strength, and determination of the human spirit. It depicts the challenges and struggles that policemen face every day in the line of duty.
