Ahead of forthcoming Assembly elections in Punjab, Haryana also continues to witness a changed political scenario. Particularly, new developments took place recently, giving new indications of reunion in the shattered Chautala family. Speculation started following the statement given by Ajay Chautala, a Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) leader and son of O.P. Chautala. He said in Yamunanagar recently that the decision of reunion is “up to his father” as he was of the opinion earlier that nothing is permanent in politics and things get changing. Thus, his father should rethink and mull over his previous decision. If he does so then he will also think about the above. Resembling the aforementioned, another incident took place on Sunday which led to the speculations of reunion in the Chahta family. O.P. Chautala and Dushyant Chautala, his grandson and JJP leader happened to meet in a marriage reception of a BJP leader’s daughter and in continuation to their meeting, O.P. Chautala blessed him leaving everyone in a state of dilemma and new speculations. Besides, a picture of their meeting had gone viral on social media becoming the talk of the town. While contrary to their statements, O.P. Chautala took on Ajay Chautala and his sons indirectly along with their party JJP saying that those who formed and joined the JJP were among the absconders and betrayers. Thus, there is no question of joining hands with such people. It is evident from his stand that he is still upset with Ajay Chautala and his sons Dushyant-Digvijay. Regarding this, the INLD spokesperson said that the party has cleared its stand. In this series, it is noticeable that the feud among the Chautala family members for political ambitions surfaced in Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) party’s rally held in Gohana October 2018 which continued till date . The widened rift between Abhay Singh  Chautala and Dushyant Chautala, son of Ajay Chautala resulted in separation in the family.
