Haryana Pradesh Congress in-charge, Deepak Babaria, has called for a report from the team of coordinators sent to the districts to provide feedback regarding the selection of district presidents. Babaria is currently in Delhi. The coordinators have been given two days, Monday and Tuesday, to submit the report. On both of these days, the coordinators will have the opportunity to meet with the in-charge and submit their reports.
Furthermore, he has also asked the coordinators for a list of those leaders and workers who caused disruptions during the district meetings. In many districts, there were incidents of sloganeering, pushing, and even fighting among the party workers. The party high command has taken strict notice of these incidents. In compliance with the instructions of party president Mallikarjun Kharge and MP Rahul Gandhi, the in-charge has identified those who created a ruckus and asked them to submit their reports. The party leadership had appointed district-wise AICC coordinators for the selection process of district presidents. Two leaders from the PCC (State Congress Committee) were attached to him as coordinators for each district.
There are 11 coordinators from AICC and 22 from the State Congress Committee, totalling 33 coordinators who will collectively provide feedback to the in-charge about the meetings held with leaders and workers. In-charge Deepak Babaria stated that once the reports are received, they will be compiled over the next two to three days. After preparing a panel with the list of all 22 districts, we will hand it over to the party’s National General Secretary (Organization), KC Venugopal. Venugopal will discuss this list with party president Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi. There is a national convention of Congress in Telangana on the 16th and 17th of September.
