Haryana CM Khattar announces Rs 50,000 for industrial workers’ daughters to buy electric two-wheelers

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has unveiled a plan to provide Rs 50,000 to daughters of industrial workers pursuing higher education for the purchase of electric two-wheelers. This initiative was announced during an event at Shri Vishwakarma Skill University in Palwal district, with the aim of encouraging mobility and fostering independence among these young women.
Furthermore, Khattar also revealed additional scholarship provisions for the offspring of industrial workers. Effective immediately, these scholarships will grant equal amounts to eligible students, as per an official statement.
Scholarships for students, which used to range from Rs 5,000 to Rs 7,000 for those in classes 9 and 10, and from Rs 11,000 to Rs 16,000 for students in degree programs, will now vary from Rs 10,000 to Rs 21,000. This announcement covers students from Class 9 to various degree and postgraduate programs.
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar introduced these changes on the occasion of Vishwakarma Jayanti and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday as part of a series of welfare initiatives aimed at enhancing the lives of industrial workers and their families.
Khattar praised Prime Minister Modi as a visionary leader who has propelled India forward through innovation and public service. He extended his warm birthday wishes to the Prime Minister and expressed his hope for his continued dedicated service to the nation.
Additionally, the Haryana Chief Minister announced increased financial assistance for workers to purchase bicycles, raising the grant from Rs 3,000 to Rs 5,000.
The financial aid for women workers to acquire sewing machines has also been raised from Rs 3,500 to Rs 4,500. Furthermore, workers suffering from chronic diseases will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 2,000 to encourage healthy eating habits, according to the statement.
In a bid to enhance health care accessibility, the chief minister announced that ESI (Employees State Insurance) dispensaries will be established in Fatehabad and Harsaru, Kadipur, and Wazirabad of Gurugram district. Additionally, ECG facilities will be made available at all ESI dispensaries across Haryana.
