The Haryana government, led by Chief Minister Manohar Lal, is focused on strengthening public health infrastructure and prioritizing public healthcare.
The Chief Minister will virtually inaugurate 46 health institutions, including Anchi Devi Meghraj Jindal Civil Hospital in Siwani, Bhiwani, and a 50-bedded hospital in Karnal during a state-level program in Yamunanagar on May 11, 2023. According to an official spokesperson, the Chief Minister will inaugurate 25 Sub Health Centers (SHCs), 6 Primary Health Centers (PHC), 4 Community Health Centers (CHC), 1 Urban Health Center (UHC) and 4 Health and Wellness Centers (HWC) in various districts across the state. These health institutions will provide crucial health facilities to all citizens and strengthen the health infrastructure in Haryana.
The state government has allocated Rs. 9647 crore for health, medical education, and AYUSH in the budget for the financial year 2023-24, demonstrating their commitment to expanding health services and providing state-of-the-art facilities at affordable rates. The government has made significant progress in strengthening the health sector in the last 8 and a half years.
