In order to strengthen promote research in educational institutions, Haryana Government has approved an amount of Rs. 1.95 crore for the research projects of 12 scientists/professionals of the state’s educational/research institutions for the year 2021-22.

Principal Secretary, Department of Science and Technology, Dr. Ashok Khemka said that in order to improve the socio-economic standard of the general masses and solve their day to day problems, Haryana State Council for Science, Innovation and Technology, Department of Science and Technology, Haryana is implementing Research and Development scheme. Under this scheme, an amount of up to Rs 20 lakh is sanctioned to the scientists of the state’s educational/research institutions for research and development projects in the field of science and technology for a maximum period of 3 years. He informed that for the year 2021-22, 12 scientists/professors to whom an amount of Rs. 1.95 crore have been approved for research projects. Dr. Hari Mohan and Dr. Darshana Chaudhary, Assistant Professors of Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak, Dr. Manoj Kumar and Dr. Swati Dahiya and Dr. Sushila Maan, Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Science, Hisar, Dr. Sunita Dalal, Associate Professor, Kurukshetra University, Dr. Rajan, Assistant Professor, MMU University, Mullana, Dr. Anurag Gaur, Dr. Rashi Gupta, Dr. Sanjeev Goyal and Dr. Ravi Kumar, J.C Bose University of Science and Technology, Faridabad and Dr. Sangeeta Kamboj, Assistant Professor, Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala, are the selected researchers. Dr. Ashok Khemka further informed that in view of the importance of research, the budget amount will be increased under the ‘Research and Development Projects’ scheme of the Department of Science and Technology so that the social and economic standard of society can be improved through new research.
