Following the instructions of the Election Commission of India (ECI) , the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Haryana has updated the list of voters registered in all the 22 districts of the state on January 1, 2024 and the process pertaining to final publication of the same was completed on January 22, 2024. According to the statistics of the updated voter lists, the voters in Haryana have increased from 19658234. in 2023 to 19725257 in 2024 Haryana. The statistics obtained from the ECI revealed that, Gurgaon Lok Sabha constituency emerges on the top in terms of voters with 2494044. Notably, the Gurgaon district was changed to Gurugram in the year 2016, but in the context of Lok Sabha and Assembly constituencies, it still exists as Gurgaon and its name can be changed to Gurugram only after the next delimitation process and Gurugram Lok Sabha the Gurgaon Lok Sabha constituency includes voters from 9 assembly constituencies including Gurgaon, Sohna, Badshahpur, Pataud ,Bawal and Rewari, Nuh, Firozpur, Jhirka and Punahana. The statistics depict that Badshahpur assembly constituency falling under Gurugram district is the largest assembly constituency in the state with 462765 voters.

After Gurgaon, the second largest Lok Sabha constituency in the state in terms of voters is Faridabad with 2354666 voters. Faridabad Lok Sabha seat consists of 6 Prithla, Faridabad NIT, Badkhal, Ballabhgarh, Faridabad and Tigaon assembly constituencies of Faridabad district – while three assembly constituencies Hathin, Hodal and Palwal from Palwal district. In this row, Karnal is the third largest Lok Sabha constituency with 20 73329s. Karnal Lok Sabha seat includes five Karnal, Nilokheri, Indri, Gharaunda and Assandh assembly constituencies of Karnal district\ and four Panipat Urban, Panipat Rural, Israna and Samalkha assembly constituencies of Panipat district.

Ambala is the fourth largest Lok Sabha constituency with 1971584 voters and it includes nine constituencies of Ambala, Panchkula and Yamunanagar districts namely Ambala City, Ambala Cantt, Narayangarh, Mullana Kalka and Panchkula ,Jagadhri, Yamunanagar and Sadhaura constituencies. In this row, Sirsa is fifth largest parliamentary seat with 1920742 voters and it includes five Kalanwali, Dabwali, Raniyan, Sirsa and Ellenabad, assembly constituencies of Sirsa district and three – Ratia, Tohana and Fatehabad of Fatehabad district and Narwana assembly constituency of Jind district. Further, Rohtak is the sixth Lok Sabha constituency with 1863973 voters. This constituency includes four assembly constituencies of Rohtak district – Meham, Garhi Sampla Kiloi, Rohtak and Kalanaur constituencies, four constituencies of Jhajjar district – Bahadurgarh, Badli, Jhajjar and Beri constituencies and Kosli assembly constituency of Rewari district. In this series, Kurukshetra is seventh largest Lok Sabha constituency in the state with 1775529 voters and it includes all four assembly constituencies of Kurukshetra district – Ladwa, Shahbad, Thanesar and Pehowa and Pundri and Radaur constituency of Yamunanagar district and .four constituencies Guhla, Kalayat, Kaithal, Kalayat of Kaithal district.

Divulging more details regarding this, Hemant Kumar, an expert and lawyer at Punjab and Haryana High court said that likewise, Bhiwani-Mahendragarh Lok Sabha is the eighth largest constituency with 1770362 voters and it includes three assembly constituencies Loharu, Bhiwani and Tosham of Bhiwani district, two Badhada and four of Dadri of Charkhi Dadri and Ateli, Mahendragarh, Narnaul and Nangal Chaudhary.Mahendragarh district. In this row, Hisar is the ninth largest Lok Sabha constituency with 1763715 voters and it includes assembly constituencies Adampur, Uklana, Narnaund, Hansi, Barwala, Hisar of Hisar districts along with Uchana Kalan and Bawani khera assembly seats of Jind and Bhiwani districts respectively.

The Sonipat Lok Sabha constituency is at the bottom with is 1737313 and this constituency includes all four assembly constituencies Ganaur, Rai, Kharkhoda, Sonipat, Gohana and Baroda of Sonipat district, three Julana, Safidon and Jind.assembly constituencies of Jind district. It is pertinent to mention that in December 2021, the Election Laws (Amendment) Act, 2021 was passed by the Parliament of the country, which received the approval of the then President of India on December 29, 2021. Through this, along with other amendments in the Representation of the People Act, 1950, it has also been provisioned that every year, not only on 1st January but also on 1st April, 1st July and 1st October, the names of local residents who complete 18 years of age It can be included in the voter lists of the concerned area, which can further increase the voter number before the voting of the 18th Lok Sabha general elections scheduled in the next three months i.e. April-May 2024.
