The Station House Officer (SHO) of the police station involved stated, “We are investigating the accusations and have not yet apprehended the suspect.”
A man, identified as the husband of a sarpanch in Gurgaon district, has been charged in an FIR filed by a woman from another village, alleging multiple incidents of rape by him, as per police reports.
The woman claimed that the accused sexually assaulted her in October 2022 and again in January 2024. In her complaint, she detailed how the man lured her with promises of a Rs 30,000 job. She recounted that he took her to a hotel where he provided a drink and food laced with a sedative, leading to the assault. The complainant further stated that he later coerced her into another hotel in Neemrana on January 28, where he raped her again.
The SHO of the concerned police station remarked, “We are verifying the allegations and are yet to arrest the accused.”
In response, the accused refuted the allegations, claiming that the complaint against him was fabricated.
