The clip begins with Gangster Granny cheerfully greeting “Hi, Ryan” as she approaches Hugh Jackman. Her grandson promptly corrects her, saying, “No, that’s Hugh.” The Wolverine star, maintaining his characteristic grace, responds, “No, I am not Ryan, but I know Ryan. Do you want me to give him a message?” Ross then adds, “Yeah, she wanted to invite him on a date, but she went to the wrong guy.” Hugh responds with a friendly, “Oh, that’s alright.”

The video also includes footage of Granny eventually meeting the correct actor, Ryan Reynolds, and asking him out.

With over 11.5 million views, the video has gone viral and attracted numerous comments.

Social Media Reactions:

“Granny making Ryan forget he is married,” joked one user. Reynolds is married to Blake Lively.

Another comment read, “Hugh was all too happy to help Granny get to Ryan.”

A third user noted, “Ryan is married with four children. Granny needs to ask Hugh Jackman. And he’s single.”

One more user said, “Grandma, how could you not ask Hugh Jackman out on a date?”

While some accused Ryan Reynolds of being impolite to the elderly woman, others defended him, saying, “Ryan wasn’t being rude or bothered. He was being rushed by security. Dude is the star at the premiere. If he could have stayed, he would’ve 100%.”
