In wake of spurt in Covid cases in Haryana, the government continues to come up with preventive measures along with other arrangements and initiatives to control the disease. The government has now brought the ESMA in force in the state, banning the health workers to go on strike for next six months.

A group of doctors has announced to go on strike.

Haryana Home and Health Minister Anil Vij said that ESMA has been implemented in Haryana considering the spread of coronavirus and now health workers will not be able to go on strike for next six months. A notification in this regard has also been issued. .

He said that the country is fighting virus and at such a crucial time a group of doctors has announced to go on strike which will adversely affect the fight. “We had accepted their demands and forwarded them to the Chief Minister and other departments immediately. After meeting with the Chief Minister yesterday, their demands were fulfilled and were given in-principle approval. The doctors still insisted to go on strike. “

Orders have been issued regarding holding of rallies, demonstrations, dharnas, processions in the state. Vij elaborated that the Election Commission has imposed restrictions in states where elections are to be held, so we have imposed restrictions here as well.
