The Haryana government has issued orders for the promotion of IAS officers, marking a significant stride in their professional trajectories. The government has approved the promotion of 33 IAS officers, including Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar’s principal secretary, V Umashankar, who has been promoted to the chief secretary’s grade (level 17 in the pay matrix).
Proforma promotion has been granted to three other IAS officers of the same batch: Deepti Umashankar, the wife of V Umashankar; Sukriti Likhi; and Neerja Sekhar, to the same grade. Notably, all three IAS officers are currently on central deputation. It is pertinent to mention that proforma promotion is given to officers working outside their cadres.
Three officers—Nikhil Giriraj from the 2008 batch, Vinay Pratap Singh, and Vijay Kumar Sidappa, both from the 2011 batch—have received proforma promotion. Similarly, three IAS officers from the 2008 batch, including Rippudaman Singh Dhillon, Anshaj Singh, and Rajiv Rattan, have been given the super-time scale (level 14 in the pay matrix). Another officer from the 2008 batch, Nikhil Gajraj, has been given proforma promotion (level 14 in the pay matrix). Additionally, ten IAS officers from the 2011 batch, including Mukul Kumar, Naresh Kumar, Anju Chaudhary, Mahavir Kaushik, Yash Pal, Aditya Dahiya, Amit Khatri, Yashendra Singh, Narhari Singh Banger, and Pardeep Kumar, have been given the selection grade (level 13 in the pay matrix).
Proforma promotion has been granted to two IAS officers from the same batch—Vinay Pratap Singh and Vijay Kumar Siddappa Bhavikatti—to the same grade.
Apart from the aforementioned promotions, seven IAS officers from the 2015 batch, including Prashant Panwar, Preeti, Uttam Singh, Rahul Hooda, Mohd Imran Raza, Neha Singh, and Shantanu Sharma, have been promoted to the junior administrative grade (level 12 in the pay matrix).
Six IAS officers from the 2020 batch—Pradeep Singh, Deepak Babulal Karwa, Pankaj, C Jayasharadha, Harshik Kumar, and Rahul Modi—have been given the senior-time scale (level 11 in the pay matrix).
