Under the dynamic leadership of Dr. Meenu Khayalia, Acting Principal of Government College, Kalka, an array of competitions marked the celebration of India Space Week in Panchkula. Students engaged in drawing and painting competitions centered around five themes, depicting various aspects of the Ramayana, including scenes of Shri Ram’s Pran Pratistha Puja, Mother Sita nurturing plants, Shri Ram breaking the bow, the trio’s exile in the forest, and the construction of the Ram Setu bridge by Shri Hanuman and the monkey army.

Furthermore, a costume program was organized at the college as part of the Ram Space Observatory Utsav. Students showcased their talents through performances aligned with four themes: Shri Ram’s Pran Pratishtha ceremony, Mother Sita’s environmental endeavors, Hanuman’s heroic feat of fetching the Sanjivani mountain, and Shri Ram’s demonstration of respecting the best qualities in his adversaries.

The events were meticulously planned and executed under the guidance and direction of the Celebration of Days Committee, led by Professor Dr. Indu, Professor Dr. Bindu, Professor Dr. Navneet Nancy, Dr. Sonali, Professor Neetu Chaudhary, and Assistant Professor Savita.

Their coordination ensured the seamless organization and successful execution of the programs, fostering creativity, cultural exchange, and community engagement among the students.

These initiatives not only celebrated Indian mythology and cultural heritage but also provided a platform for students to showcase their artistic and theatrical talents, enriching their educational experience and fostering a sense of pride in their traditions and values.
