Govind Singh Dotasra, the president of the Congress in Rajasthan, claimed that the Congress is going to win the elections with a significant majority. The main reasons for this victory are the leadership of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, the guidance of Rahul Gandhi, and the effective leadership of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, along with his plans. In a special interview, Dotasra said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP played divisive politics in Rajasthan, trying to end the brotherhood in the state and polarise the people.
The Rajasthan Congress President said that he was confident that the people of the state did not fall for their tactics, and they voted for the Congress wholeheartedly. Dotasra said, “The BJP did not have any issues. The BJP was scared of Chief Minister Gehlot’s schemes. After the reinstatement of the old pension scheme, providing a subsidy of 500 rupees for a gas cylinder, Chiranjivi Health Scheme, pension, loan waiver for farmers, and free electricity for farmers up to 2000 units, there was a discussion nationwide about these seven guarantees.”
Dotasra added, “In these guarantees, we talked about making a law on MSP. We promised to buy cow dung for 2 rupees. Households were promised ten thousand per year, laptops, and various such commitments that resonated with the public. The BJP could not explain what it would do with the MSP scheme. We talked about increasing the insurance amount in the Chiranjivi scheme from 25 lakh to 50 lakh. They announced it to be 5 lakh. Now, you tell me why the people would vote for them. Not only that, our government had many such decisions that they could not match.”
The Rajasthan Congress President also took aim at PM Modi and Shah, and said, “Modi and Shah, out of fear of defeat, levelled false allegations against the state government, and they tried to play with the people’s emotions. In the paper leak case, our government made laws to catch the culprits. In terms of law and order, our state is in a better position than BJP-ruled states. They tried to deceive the common people in the name of showing them the Ram temple. They attempted to indulge in diversionary tactics regarding the Udaipur murder case. However, none of their tactics worked. The public silently focused on the plans of our government and voted for the Congress.”
Dotasra said that the term “silent voter” means that the person voted for the Congress. On December 3, when the EVM machines are opened, you will see that the Congress is winning with a record number of votes.”
The Congress party in Rajasthan is confident about its victory and breaking the five-year government-change trend. The prominent leaders of the party have been claiming to form a government in Rajasthan again. However, on 3 December it will become clear as to whom the public considered worthy to form a government.
