Gardens Of Tolerance Inaugurated By Nahyan bin Mubarak In UAE

As part of the event, Nahyan led the ‘Tolerance Walk’ and unveiled the ‘Gardens of Tolerance,’ a serene sanctuary within the park.

Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence in UAE, alongside Yoo Jehseung, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the UAE and guest of honour at the National Festival of Tolerance and Coexistence, inaugurated Umm Al Emarat Park as the first location under the “Gardens of Tolerance” initiative.

As part of the event, Nahyan led the ‘Tolerance Walk’ and unveiled the ‘Gardens of Tolerance,’ a serene sanctuary within the park. This dedicated space features a variety of Emirati and Korean trees and plants, symbolising the growing friendship between the two nations.

The ceremony, attended by ambassadors from sisterly and friendly countries, included the planting of native trees from the UAE and South Korea, representing the enduring partnership and collaboration between the nations.

Organised by the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence in partnership with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea and Korea Festival 2024, the festival celebrates the vibrant cultures of both countries, underlining the values of coexistence and harmony.

A standout feature of the festival is a live performance by K-pop sensation The Wind, who will energise the crowd with their biggest hits. The performance is described as “a celebration of tolerance and respect that aims to unify both cultures, forming connections through the power of music and movement.”

Visitors can also delve into Emirati heritage through interactive sessions showcasing traditional crafts, storytelling, and activities that bring local history and customs to life. The festival offers a blend of cultural experiences, including Taekwondo demonstrations highlighting the precision and skill of this iconic Korean martial art.

Additional attractions include performances like the ‘Unbelievable Show’ by Bubble J, the dynamic sounds of K-Nongak by the Gwangju City Municipal Gwangjiwon Nongak Band, and Taekwondo demonstrations by Akh Unit and the KCC Youth Taekwondo Team, immersing attendees in the richness of Korean culture.
