The Bharatiya Janata Party expressed strong disapproval on Saturday morning in response to the Aam Aadmi Party’s assertion that Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal would administer the government from jail, stating that only “gangs” operate from within prison walls.

BJP Member of Parliament Manoj Tiwari asserted that the citizens of Delhi were jubilant over Arvind Kejriwal’s arrest. Tiwari alleged that the AAP leader had plundered the national capital, causing widespread suffering.

“He has dedicated himself to bringing Delhi to the brink of ruin. Delhi residents are deeply aggrieved by him, which is why sweets were distributed following his arrest. His administration has failed to accomplish anything in Delhi; instead, they have engaged in embezzlement and lined their pockets. Kejriwal has pillaged Delhi,” Tiwari stated to ANI.

Arvind Kejriwal was apprehended by the Enforcement Directorate on Thursday night regarding the liquor policy case, making him the first sitting chief minister to be incarcerated.

On Friday, the AAP declared that Arvind Kejriwal would remain in office as the Delhi Chief Minister and would govern from jail. The BJP has demanded Arvind Kejriwal’s resignation on ethical grounds.

“Those who continually proclaim they will govern from jail should remember: jails are known to house gangs, not governments,” Manoj Tiwari remarked.
