On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi on Wednesday, President Droupadi extended greetings on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi and prayed for peace and prosperity in the lives of the citizens.
“Hearty greetings to all the countrymen on Ganesh Chaturthi. Mangalmurti Lord Ganesha is a symbol of knowledge, accomplishment and good fortune. I wish that with the blessings of Shri Ganesh, there should be a spread of happiness, peace and prosperity in everyone’s life,” the President tweeted.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended greetings on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. The Prime Minister shared a shloka in Sanskrit while extending wishes and wrote on Twitter, “Best wishes on Ganesh Chaturthi. May the blessings of Lord Shri Ganesh always remain upon us.”
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also extended greetings on occasion. “Happy Ganesh Chaturthi to all the countrymen. Ganpati Bappa Morya!” he tweeted.
Several Bollywood celebrities also took to their social media handles to extend greetings to their fans on this auspicious occasion.
Bollywood veteran star Amitabh Bachchan took to his Instagram handle and wished his fans through a ‘Ganesh-Chaturthi’ special post featuring Ganesh made from peepal leaves.
Actor Abhishek Bachchan also shared greetings via his Instagram post, where he clubbed the post featuring ‘kesariya’ Ganesh with Ganpati Arti sung by his father, veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan.
Alia Bhatt extended wishes to her fans via her Instagram story, she wrote “Happy Ganesh Chaturthi. Wishing you and your family happiness, prosperity, and peace”. Global icon Priyanka Chopra extended greetings through her Instagram story, she wrote, “Ganpati Bappa Morya!!”
Actor Akshay Kumar sent his greetings to his fans through his Instagram story, where he posted a motion picture of Lord Ganesh and wrote, “Happy Ganesh Chaturthi”.
The festivities will conclude on 9 September.
