The trailer of Gadar 2 was released on Wednesday, July 27. At the launch event, Sunny Deol got emotional when Ameesha Patel wiped his tears and even gave him a warm hug. The video was shared by popular Bollywood paparazzi Viral Bhayani on Instagram.
Reacting to the viral video, one of the Instagram users wrote, “bonding.” Another wrote, “So Sweet. Tara Sakina jodi is toooo cute. Ameesha is looking gorgeous as ever!! Sunny Deol looks the best with her. Can’t wait to watch them in Gadar 2.” A third user wrote, “So cute they are in traditional dress.” Many users also called them “hit jodi.”
Apart from Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, the event was also attended by Utkarsh Sharma, Shariq Patel, Mithoon, Simrat Kaur, Alka Yagnik, Jubin Nautiyal, and Aditya Narayan. Director Anil Sharma was also present.

For those unaware, the film was announced in October 2021 and is the official remake of Gadar: Ek Prem Katha which was released in 2001. It was set up in post-partition India and depicted the love story of a Muslim girl named Sakeena with an Indian Sikh boy Tara Singh. Gadar 2 will hit theatres on August 11, 2023.
