On 12 June, the Supreme Audit Institutions-20 (SAI20) Summit wil commence in Goa. Girish Chandra Murmu, India’s Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG), will deliver inaugural speech.The SAI20 Summit would be attended by representatives from the Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) of the G20 nations, as well as guests, invited SAIs, invited SAIs, international organisations, engagement groups, and other invitees.

Under the guiding philosophy for India’s Presidency of G20, Vasudhaiva Kutumbkam i.e., “One Earth, One Family, and One Future”, the Comptroller and Auditor General of India had proposed the collaboration of SAI20 Engagement Group on two priority areas, Blue Economy and Responsible Artificial Intelligence (AI), it said.
The term “blue economy” refers to the sustainable use of ocean resources for job creation, income improvement, and economic expansion while protecting the ecology. SAIs must inevitably prepare for auditing AI-based governance systems as AI makes significant inroads into governance. The CAG office stated that SAIs must simultaneously search for chances to incorporate AI into their audit methodologies in order to improve their efficacy.In line with this, during the course of the SAI20 Summit, SAI India shall present and introduce the Compendiums on Blue Economy and Responsible AI which has contributions and experience shared by the SAI20 members and other SAIs to guide future audits on these priority areas, it said.
