Sheikh Hasina, the prime minister of Bangladesh, arrived in the nation’s capital on Friday to take part in the G20 Summit, which is being hosted this year by India. At the Delhi Airport, Sheikh Hasina was welcomed by Darshana Jardosh, Minister of State in the Ministries of Textiles and Railways. Bangladesh and India are connected by ties to their shared past, common language, shared culture, and a host of other factors. The relationship has grown stronger, matured, and evolved into a blueprint for bilateral ties for the region and beyond.

Bangladesh’s independence in December 1971 was first acknowledged as a separate and independent state by India, according to the Ministry of External Affairs, which also immediately established diplomatic ties with Bangladesh. Bangladesh and India are connected on a civilized, cultural, social, and economic level. Earlier On August 28 in Dhaka, India and Bangladesh held the fifth annual defense dialogue, during which the two countries decided to strengthen their defense cooperation, including by conducting more bilateral drills.

According to a statement from the finance ministry, India and Bangladesh’s Joint Group of Customs (JGC) met for two days in New Delhi to discuss issues pertaining to cross-border trade facilitation and customs cooperation. Sheikh Hasina, the prime minister of Bangladesh, met with Narendra Modi, the prime minister of India, on September 6 of last year at Hyderabad House to discuss and further solidify their bilateral ties. After that, seven Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed between India and Bangladesh during Sheikh Hasina’s visit to India.
